A heartbeat could be heard from a mile,

A wondering face that wears a bright smile.

To remember this gift upon herself,

She smiles within and forgets the sorrows of oneself.

The girl smiles unafraid and unprepared,

Glowing in the dark with a secret unshared.

In another country held a crying friend,

That called out for her as she clicked 'Send'.

What the friend is trying to say,

She suffers in agony and dismay.

However, when the smiling face is seen...

The weeping little girl smiles within.

Underneath all the pain and grins,

She confessed and told all her sins.

True friends were hard to find,

And if discovered forever they bind.

They met in that building called school,

The girl full of sorrow used to be a fool.

The smiling girl showed her the will to live,

Now their friends; she continues to believe.

Time passes and they keep in touch.

Not bothering with the small details, as much.

They talk, laugh and smile at each other.

Questions were asked at one another.

A birthday forgotten,

A girl turned rotten.

Keep it a secret,

And never regret.

Reminisce the past as you once saw,

A face to remember; a face without a flaw.
